Lab Centrifuges

Laboratory Centrifuge specifications

Your Acutronic lab centrifuges are high-performance, high-precision centrifuges that allow you to study the most advanced and varied subjects, such as:

  • the mechanical behaviour of individual mechanical precision components, sub-assemblies or systems under acceleration-induced constraints, sometimes in a combination with thermal constraints or vacuum,
  • medical or biological research,
  • rockets engine testing,
  • vibration simulation under increased gravity.

Your Unit Under Test (UUT) can vary in weight from a few grams to many tons, applied accelerations can reach 20,000 g, your chosen giration radius can exceed 10 m or be as small as 0.1m, and acceleration accuracy can range from 10-2 to 10-6.

The DD denomination indicates that your machine has a “Direct Drive” mechanism instead of a belt-driven mechanism. A Direct Drive eliminates de facto particular vibratory noise and the use of belts. Performances are significantly enhanced, and maintenance of the driving system is virtually eliminated.

Here is a brief overview of the characteristics of your machines:
