Team Corporation Test Systems

Team Vertical Shakers

The Team vibration test system is a high performance, versatile and cost effective testing system. The Team system has been developed specifically for vibration testing and is particularly advantageous for vibration tests requiring high force, long stroke or very low frequency capability. With the capability of sine, random, sine on random, random on random, or resonant search & dwell, the Team system will provide consistent, reliable test results year after year.

With the modular line of components, Team can provide you with a system that is best tailored to your test requirements. The actuator force, stroke and velocity are optimized to provide the highest frequency response within your budget constraints.

The air isolated seismic base will allow the system to be used on existing floors without modification, while the ultra low frequency isolators allow testing to very low frequencies.

Features

  • Team valve for over 500 Hz. capability
  • Force range – 2,000 – 50,000 lb.
  • Stroke range – 2 – 10 inche
  • Magnesium head expanders
  • Air isolated seismic bases
  • System designed for high frequency vibration testing from the base up
  • Hydrostatic bearing supported piston

Team Engine Simulators

Real life testings is crucial in today’s automotive industry. Team Corporation has developed the 900 Series of Engine Simulation Systems to accurately simulate the torsional pulsations found on the crankshaft of the engine. Team Engine Simulators reach the speeds of today’s engines and provide realistic test conditions for engine driven components and systems.

Based on Team’s proven spinning rotary actuator, Team’s Engine Simulators are designed to study the effects of dynamic torque loads on engine driven components and systems. With speeds up to 10,000 rpm, dynamic torque output up to 3,300 ft-lbs (4520 N-m) and torsional frequencies in excess of 600 Hz, the 900 Series of Engine Simulators are easily configured to simulate engines of virtually any displacement and number of cylinders.

Features

Speeds up to 10,000 rpm

  • Dynamic torque output up to 3,300 ft-lbs (4520 N-m)
  • Torsional frequencies in excess of 600 Hz
  • Digital PC-based control system with easy-to-use Graphical User Interface
  • Easily programmed to simulate any number of cylinders and torque characteristics
  • Integral drive motors up to 100 hp (75 kW) or use existing prime movers

Team 4 Poster Vehicle Test Systems

Team Corporation’s unique Four Posters are designed specifically for full vehicle testing. Featuring low-profile, low-noise actuators equipped with hydrostatic bearings, Team Four Posters are ideally suited to end-of-line and development testing applications. The compact actuators modules are ideal for smaller laboratories.

Available in a range of load capacities suitable for passenger cars through light trucks, Team’s Four Posters are as flexible as they are economical. When not in use under a vehicle, each actuator module can be used as a stand-alone vertical vibration test system.

Options like automatic track and wheelbase adjustment, load biasing, and a variety of control options further enhance the productivity of the systems.

Features

  • Configurations for passenger cars and light trucks.
  • Low-profile actuator design.
  • Hydrostatic bearings for high moment capacity and long life.
  • Numerous control configurations.
  • Each actuator’s motion is independently controlled.

Applications

  • Squeak & Rattle testing of full vehicles.
  • End-of-line Squeak & Rattle testing.
  • Reproduction of test track data.
  • Vehicle durability testing.

Team Automotive Valves Simulators

Originally developed by Team corporation for Stanford University two decades ago, the valve actuators are used by engine manufacturers to study variable valve timing and valve lift profiles. Mounted on live firing engines, the valve actuators let design engineers and scientists study the effect of various cam profiles and to investigate variable valve timing. This has proven useful in studies of fuel economy and enhanced engine performance. Each valve is controlled by an individual Team actuator taking the place of the camshaft and rocker arm. Team’s Engine Valve Simulator permits full control of exhaust and intake valve lift and dwell on operating automotive engines.
